Dark raspberries, herbs on the nose. Raspberries, cassis coulée, black cherries, then herbal-land. Great acidity. Long, spicy, herbal finish. Jens to Julie while tasting: “OMG! Baby, this wine is fantastic!!”

 

Roland Tissier 2023 Sancerre• Loire Valley, France • Reg $39.99 | Mixed Case $31.99

Classic nose of minerals & chalk then lime & apple. This is a softer-style Sancerre with beautiful acidity, complexity. All the soils comes through with apples, pears, citrus (lime, grapefruit). Wonderful, long finish. Sip or enjoy with seafood dinner!

Quinta Do Crasto 2017 Douro Red • Douro, Portugal • Reg $18.99 | Mixed Case $15.19

Grapes = Tinta Roriz/Tinta Barrocca. Perfect. Drink now. This is a perfect example of how a wine ages. Drink at its peak. Nose is herbal with blueberries, dark plums & earth. Note of licorice on the palate. Herbal, earthy notes on the finish. “An absolutely stunning wine.” —Jens

 

Silvio Nardi 2020 Rosso di Montalcino • Tuscany, Italy • Reg $32.99 | Mixed Case $26.39

100% Sangiovese. Mini-Brunello all the way. Nose = earthy, herbal, leathery with nice cherry tones. Very complex palate. Morello cherries with really nice earthiness. Acidity is perfect, not sharp. Pretty smooth finish. We enjoyed with Spaghetti Bolognese — epic!! Drink now. This wine is ready.

 

Terzetto 2023 Gavi • Piedmont, Italy • Reg $23.99 | Mixed Case $19.19

100% Cortese from DOCG Gavi. Limestone, lime, touch of apple. Fantastic nose. Flavors are soft lime, orchard fruit, citrus with this lovely earthiness, sort of a limestone minerality. Good body. Thumbs up. Great Gavi.

Nautilus Estate 2024 Sauvignon Blanc • Marlborough, New Zealand • Reg $23.99 | Mixed Case $19.19

Crazy-fun twist on New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc — 4 months in oak!! What happens? You end up with flavors of grilled peaches, grilled pineapple, with citurs & grapefruit. Highly recommended for adventurers. Delicious!

 


Domaine Cabirau 2021 Maury Sec "Serge & Marie" • Languedoc-Roussillon, France • Reg $19.99 | Wine Club $17.99 | Mixed Case $14.39

From the DOC Maury = sub-appellation of Côtes du Roussillon, right on the border to Spain. Garrigue, herbal nose with red & black raspberries, dark plums. Flavors of red & dark plums, black raspberries, blackberries on the finish with herbal notes throughout. Fuller-bodied. Little bit of a dry, rustic finish (=Julie), fresh finish (=Jens). We are so pleased with this wine! What a value. Best with meat and/or mushroom dishes.

Domaine Michel Goubard 2023 Côtes Chalonaise Bourgogne Blanc • Burgundy, France • Reg $35.99 | Mixed Case $28.79

100% Chardonnay. Aromas of apple blossoms, ripe apples, dried pineapple, limestone. Wonderful, lush nose. Flavors of pear, soft peach with a note of salinity on the finish. Great acid. Complex. Long finish. Relish this wine.
