Side by Side
Saturday, March 21 (12-3pm)
Let’s try some wines — same varietal, different region — side by side, starting with: TBD.
Cost is $15. (Fee waived with the purchase of any wine in the shop.)
Food & Wine Pairing = Lesson 2: Fat
Saturday, March 28 (12-3pm)
Every year we try and do a series on the basics of food & wine pairing. We do this by exploring the 4 main food elements (acid, fat, salt, sweet) with the basic wine elements (acid, tannins & residual sugar as well as the impact of oak, alcohol, color & body). Sounds complicated, but it’s not. With a few basic rules, you’ll be golden!
The theme of last month’s tasting was acid. This month it’s fat, and we’re going experience how different wine elements taste with high-fat foods (namely cheese & salami). Join to taste 5 wines: TBD.
It’s really fun and interesting to do this exercise. We promise — you’ll learn so much. Cost is $15. (Fee waived with the purchase of any wine in the shop.) Hope you can join!
