Our knowledgeable wine team is always here to share as much (or as little) as you’d like to know about the wines, winemakers and regions we’re featuring. Hope you can join us!
Our weekly tasting runs 12-3pm on Saturdays. Cost is $15. The tasting fee is waived with a purchase of any wine in the shop (not just tasting wines).

We’ll be closed January 1-15 for our annual New Year’s break. See you Friday, January 16 with regular hours and hopefully Saturday, January 17, at our first tasting of the year!
Janaury Wine Club – Pickup Tasting

Join us to taste the wines in our January Wine Clubs:
For the Portalis EXPLORES Wine Club (our everyday wine club), we’ll feature 2 Carignan blends from the French Mediterranean, and for the Portalis FLAGSHIP Wine Club (our premier club), our theme is Syrah… A World Tour, featuring Syrah/Shiraz from Northern Rhône, Washington State and Australia.
This pickup tasting is for our club members to taste and learn about their wines prior to enjoying them at home. Everyone is welcome to join.
Cost for non-club members is $15. (Fee waived with the purchase of any wine in the shop.)
January Top Picks
Saturday, January 24 (12-3pm)
Every month Portalis owner Jens Strecker selects his favorite wines for the season, and on the first Saturday of the month, we taste a selection of those wines.
For January, join us to taste: Lobo Hills Sauvignon Blanc (Columbia Valley), Bozen St-Magdalener (a Schiava-Lagrein blend from Südtirol, northernmost Italy), old-vine Garnacha (Calatayud, Spain — also our Wine of the Month, so 25% off), Palacio del Burgo Tinto (Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain), and Métier Red Blend (a DeLille wine made from Syrah-Cab-Merlot from the Columbia Valley).

Winter Blends
Saturday, January 31 (12-3pm)
Join us to taste a lineup of blends made for cold weather, hearty meals, and sitting in front of the fireplace. Follow the arrows to see what we’ll be tasting: Old Love (Oregon) = Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Harvey & Harriet (California) = Chardonnay, Albariño, Viognier, Pinot Gris, Reininger Helix (Washington) = Cab, Syrah, Merlot, Cab Franc, Château Jouclary (France) = Cab Franc, Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, and Maçanita MAC (Portugal) = Touriga Nacional, Sousão, Tinta Roriz. Hope you can join!

February Top Picks
